Welcome!

Welcome to housewife hustle- my journey of being a stay-at-home mom to two toddlers. This will probably be a lot like other mom blogs in terms of experiences and recommendations. However, I might not be as refined as those moms who have a home office. I’m typing this from my couch while my daughter naps, and I bribbed my son with chocolate chips and a movie.

There will be typos, occasional swearing, and a fair amount of sarcasm. If reading those is difficult, then I only apologize a little bit. I tried the super technical approach to blogging. I tried making sure every coma was perfectly placed since I am an English major. I tried making sure I had a strong voice, but no matter what I try, I end up sounding like my unfiltered self.

I wasn’t always a blogger. I started out writing music reviews for a magazine. I have had a few blogs and a fairly lofty writing background, but writing about my life as a mom has been the most incredible journey yet. I started blogging fresh out of college, and as I grew and changed, so did my writing. I realized that being a mom and writing about it was the best path for me. It makes me happy and takes away copious amounts of stress.

Since I have yet to formally introduce myself, I’m Jenni. I’m a mom in my late twenties trying to make sure I have all of my ducks in a row. I have two toddlers under the age of 4. My husband is a welder, and we have two big dogs and 2 cats. We have a full house, and even amidst the chaos, we are filled with love.

I hope you find yourself in a good mood at the end of each post. I’m looking forward to connecting with all of you.
