When I first dipped my toes into the blogging and writing community, I was terrified that it would be littered with mean girls and bullies, but I’m so relieved at how welcoming and supportive this community is. Sure, there’s a few bad eggs, but for the most part, everyone is pretty damn wonderful.

Twitter used to be my favorite platform, but now, I actually enjoy Twitter and Instagram. I’m pretty excited that my Instagram has grown to over 3,500 followers and my Twitter is catching up. It’s fun to have writer tags and discussions with so many people from all over.

When I started to share details about my ebook, I was met with encouragement and positive responses. Since it’s been published, I’ve had amazing reviews and support from so many in the writing and blogging community. There’s a handful of people who have even become my friends and people I’d love to meet someday.

Growth & Gaining Traction

I’ve grown more as a writer these last few months than I ever imagined to. I’ve learned to step outside of my comfort zone, and it has been more than worth it. I’ve also gotten a lot of new followers, and they are also very supportive. It’s a humbling feeling I can’t quite explain.

Seeing my blog do well and having a positive response to my ebook, isn’t the only reason I love this community. When I’m having a bad day or just need a break, I can save my work and go read and discover other blogs. Finding new blogs and reading posts by bloggers I already love and follow is one of my favorite ways to breathe and take a moment. The new and old are all so fabulous.

Before I started this journey, I would have never had that mindset. I thought all writers were competing, and no one would be supportive of each other. I’m so glad that’s not the case. Writers supporting writers is definitely a force!

Saying Thanks

I can’t say thank you enough. Honestly, supportive and friendly people are still an anomaly for me, but I’m getting used to it. So, I want to say thanks.

I want to follow some more bloggers and support others. I want to comment on posts even more than usual and just show that I’m grateful. Engagement is so important to bloggers, so I want to step up my game even more than usual.

Besides talking your ears off even more than I typically do, I also want to put my ebook on sale. I poured my soul into it, but I also want to show my appreciation for the support. For the next two weeks, I want to lower the price as a thank you.

More Coming

I’ve also been working on adding some content and pictures to the paperback version this fall. I thought about stepping up the ebook edition, but every time I read it, it feels perfect. It feels like a good place to start your self-love journey, so I want the paperback to be more like a second edition with a ton of extras.

I never thought my own words could be inspiring, but when I read a chapter from my ebook after a rough day, it lifts me back up. It really brightens my day, and I hope it can do the same for others. That’s my main goal. Stepping into this body positive and confidence motivating role has changed my life for the better.

The paperback will be like the next step in the journey to body confidence. I will go into diets and restrictive eating even more so than the ebook. I will talk about new ways to love and accept yourself, as well as how to deal with all types of relationships. It will be bigger and more in-depth, so I think it’s a lovely way to follow up the ebook.

As a body and sex positive writer, I want to continue with these types of discussions. I believe all bodies are beautiful, nakedness is normal, and sex is natural and magical. Once Eat the Damn Muffin has made its way into a second edition and a paperback, my book journey isn’t going to end. I want to continue these discussions, and fully devote another ebook and paperback to sex and nakedness.

Eat the Damn Muffin

This ebook is on sale on Amazon right now, and I’m really excited for you to read it if you haven’t yet. There’s also a sample of chapter 1 available if you want to check that out first. This ebook is meant to inspire and motivate. I want you all to know how beautiful and magnificent you truly are.

It’s not just a book about my journey, although I do share more of my story than I do on this blog. It’s gives tips and steps on how to cut away negativity from your life. It teaches you how to build your self-love and let go of doubts.

If you need to build up your confidence and want a feel-good read, check out Eat the Damn Muffin.

Thanks for all of your continued support.
