Top Free Feminine WordPress Themes

Sharing is caring!

If you’ve been by Housewife Hustle lately, it’s obvious that I’ve been trying out some new themes. I don’t like to change the way my blog looks too often, but I couldn’t help trying out something new. Now, I have the option to upload themes that aren’t in the WordPress directory, so my layout and theme possibilities grew a lot.

I recently made the change from a WordPress premium account to the business account. I was planning on going self-hosted, but I had a terrible experience with Bluehost that sent me right back to my WordPress comfort zone. I’m actually very grateful, because the business account has been perfect for me.

When it comes to themes and layouts, I tend to like grid or Pinterest styles the most. I also love having a featured posts slider where I can select a specific category to highlight. I’m also a sidebar stickler, and I won’t use a theme that doesn’t have my handy-dandy right sidebar. Also, don’t even get me started on my widgets, because I love and need options.

If you can’t tell, I’m a bit picky. I’m also indecisive, so the themes that I want to share with you are all ones I’ve actually used. Honestly, my current theme may change very soon. It started as a temporary one until I finished updating all of my featured images and such, but it’s starting to grow on me. Well, without further ado, it’s time to share some lovely themes for WordPress.

Top Free WordPress Themes

On my theme hunt, I decided to look for feminine themes. I love a clean look with a feminine softness to my blog. Yes, I am a major fan of pinks and purples. During my search, I found that one of the bloggers that I follow did a post about beautiful themes. Steph from Steph’s Social Pie shared some of her favorites as well. I trust her blogging advice, so I had to check them out. Her post mentions Blossom Themes, and I fell in love with a few of them. That’s also where I found my current theme.

Blossom Themes offers SEO-friendly, easy to use, WordPress themes, and they all have a free and pro option. I love not having to work with code, so sign me up when it comes to easy-to-use and simple installation.

Blossom PinIt Theme

This is my current theme, and I love it. I think the only reason I might try more is because I like seeing all of my options. This one has everything I need though, and it’s great for all types of niches. With the Pinterest style layout, there are a lot of positives. Pinterest is my favorite platform, so I was very excited for this one. It is also created to be SEO friendly, which means it will help your rank with search engines.

The free version is super easy to customize, and there are a lot of options. The pro version offers even more, which is incredible since the free version already has a lot of customization. I went with the free one, since I’m all about budget. Both options are incredible though.

I definitely recommend checking out everything that Blossom Themes has to offer. Also, head over to Steph’s blog if you aren’t following her yet. She always has great posts.

This theme was a very close contender for me. It’s perfect for lifestyle, food, fashion, and so many other niches. Also, it’s bright without being overbearing. It’s clean and SEO friendly. It is also a Pinterest style, but it has a lot of customization options. It is also responsive, so it looks great on all types of devices, which is very important to me, because half of my blogging is done from my phone.

This theme was in my top contenders as well. I love how bright and clean it is. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a more minimalist approach to your theme as well. It is responsive and has a few great customization options like sticky menu, widgets, multiple color and font choices, and social profile sharing.

Silk Lite

If you’re getting tired of Pinterest style layouts, sorry not sorry. They just have so much to offer for lifestyle bloggers like myself. I love how there are so many options, and this one is no exception. This is one of the last ones I checked out, but I couldn’t help downloading it.

This one has so many features for being a free theme. It offers multiple column choices, which is something I’m always looking for in a layout. It also has great default color settings, but again, you can customize those. It’s responsive, and it has simple navigation options. It really is a great theme.

Crimson Rose

This is actually my husband’s favorite pick, and I have to say, he has good taste. I love everything about this theme, and of course, I tried it out. I may actually go back to this one, because as I’m writing about it, I want to go play around with all of the customization a bit more.

It’s so easy to use, and it screams feminine. With the help of one click demo import, you can set your site up just like the demo, and if you have issues, there is a support team that will assist you. I mean, what more can you ask for from a FREE theme?!

Ashe is a great theme, and it’s easy to use and setup if you’re a blogger just starting out. It’s elegant, minimal, and can work with all niches. It also supports the WooCommerce Plugin if your goals include starting an online store. This one comes with one of my favorite elements too, which is a featured posts slider. It helps create an eye-catching website. Check this one out.

Lifestyle Magazine

Lifestyle Magazine isn’t just a theme meant for magazines. With all of it’s options, it’s great for lifestyle, fashion, food, photography, ecommerce, and even personal and journal type blogs.

It’s compatible with WooCommerce, and is SEO friendly. Don’t let all of the features and customization scare you though, because it’s a light weight theme. It’s a great choice, and I’ve very happy I downloaded it.

There you have it.

Those are my top picks for free and feminine themes. I have every single one downloaded too. I think they are all great options. For me, having the ability to change my mind and customize my site is important, and all of these offer a lot of options within the set perimeters of the theme. It’s also great knowing that if I want to step my game up even more, there are pro versions that I can purchase.

As my blogging career continues, I’m shifting away from single columns. I also changed my sidebar and footer preferences. So, as I evolve as a blogger, it’s important to me to have themes that can evolve as well. That’s why these are my top free choices.

I hope you were able to find some lovely themes. Have a great weekend!
