Who loves coffee? This lady and pretty much everyone I know. Honestly, I like tea too, but coffee is hands down a cup of my happy place. I love it hot, iced, and as an added ingredient in foods. I even make an espresso pie for the holidays.

I think coffee and coffee related accessories make the best gifts. I have special mugs, coffee related magnets, wall hangings, and even the curtains in my kitchen have coffee beans and cups on them. I just genuinely believe that a good cup of coffee can brighten someone’s day.

In my early twenties, I lived in a house with some of my best friends, and we pretty much had coffee in our blood. We all worked different shifts, and that coffee pot was never turned off. We also had one of the first Keurigs, and I thought it was magical. I called it our one cup wonder, and we tried every kind of k-cup we could find. We even had hot chocolate k-cups for our non-coffee drinking friend. It’s okay though, because eventually, he became a coffee drinker too.

When I discovered that Keurig makes a dual coffee maker with not only a carafe (glass pot) but also k-cup capabilities, I started making a list of every friend and family member that I had to tell. I also started thinking about the holidays and how this K-Duo Essentials Coffee Maker could be the ultimate gift for the moms, grandmothers, nurses, and teachers in my life. To be fair, I think it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys a good cup of coffee.

Better with Two

The benefits of having two coffee makers in one makes me feel at ease. If I need to fill my to-go cup while we are rushing out the door for errands and appointments, I don’t have to stress over the time it takes for a full pot to brew. If I’ve been up all night with a sick and unrestful little one, that 12 cup carafe will be my best friend. Regardless of who, what, and why, it’s just better with two.

This specific coffee maker is exclusive to Walmart, and you can check out more about it here or by clicking the Add to Cart option below. The price is amazing, and you get so much for what would usually cost an arm and a leg. I don’t know about you, but I love a good budget friendly deal with great quality.

K-Cups & Options Galore

Honestly, I don’t own a coffee bean grinder, and I tend to favor ground coffees. I also usually stick to Maxwell House when I’m grocery shopping. This coffee maker opened up my narrow-minded, coffee drinking eyes to the tons of options available. I knew there were a lot of varieties with k-cups, but there are way more than I remembered. I also forgot that I discovered my favorite brand of coffee in college, but for some reason, I never bought it after graduation.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters was my go-to coffee while I was studying, and when I discovered they also make a k-cup, my world was turned happily upside down. I’m pretty sure I will always have some on hand now, because there is nothing that tastes quiet like it. The first cup of coffee I tried in the Keurig K-Duo was Green Mountain Coffee Roasters in Dark Magic, Dark Roast, and let me tell you, that is a good cup of coffee.

Not only was I able to try to the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, but I also tried The Original Donut Shop Coffee in Regular, Medium Roast. As soon as my sister-in-law heard that I had The Donut Shop k-cups, she planned a coffee date, because that is her favorite brand. I’m quickly discovering why she loves it so much. It’s smooth and has great flavor. It has also become my husband’s favorite.

I can’t wait to try all of the different varieties of k-cups and have more coffee dates with friends with family. As a mom, I’m also thrilled that I can make my little ones hot chocolate with k-cups this coming fall and winter.

For the Old Fashioned

Another aspect that I love about this coffee maker is that my grumpy grandfather can’t heckle me over it being some new fancy, fangled machine, because there is the option to brew a classic pot of coffee. I was able to try Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Single Origin Colombia Select, Medium Roast ground coffee, and it was fabulous. It is my favorite so far too, because it has an amazing balance of cocoa and caramel notes. It’s rich, smooth, and everything I want in a cup of coffee.

I’ve always been a ground coffee type of lady, but I’d say I’m pretty even now with my love of both k-cups and the ground options. I do tend to take after my grandfather with my coffee preferences, but this one changed my mind in the best way.

Having this coffee pot is like my own personal amusement park, but it’s not just a coffee maker. The options make all the difference to me, and I can’t wait to gift a few of these as well. It has everything I need and want, which makes all of the difference.

Simple and Lovely

I love the phrase work smarter, not harder. I think that can be applied to a lot nowadays. The Keurig K-Duo Essentials Coffee Maker is so easy to use and clean. It even has a spill station that goes under the single cup side that I’ve already put to use. I’m not just a clumsy mom that gets bumped into by big dogs and toddlers. I’m a legally blind SAHM, so ease of use and simple cleaning abilities are very important to me.

I also love that the carafe, or glass pot, is sturdy. I break at least two of them a year, but this one feels like it can last. The handle has good grip and feels comfortable in my hand, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it.

Honestly, I am not a major fan of buttons and hard to read screens. I love how technology is becoming so advance, but I don’t want my coffee pot to be as complicated as a space station. It’s not just about my lack of vision. I love that the buttons are easy to read, and there aren’t too many. When my kids get a bit older, they will be able to make their momma coffee without yelling for help, and I love that.

I also want my coffee pot to be easily operated when I’m attempting to function on little to no sleep as a busy mom that works from home. This is the coffee maker for me, and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to standard Mr. Coffee again.

Coffee and Harmony

Coffee brings people together, because chatting over a cup and spending quality time with others brings out the best in people. It may seem outlandish to say that coffee can bring love and harmony, but if I sent you into one of my family gatherings with coffee, you’d understand.

Whether you like your coffee light and sweet or bold and dark, the Keurig K-Duo Essentials Coffee Maker is something that you’ll want to wake up to everyday. I couldn’t be happier that this is my new coffee pot, and it has definitely set the bar high for me. It would make a great gift not only for you but for those coffee drinkers you love, so check it out.
