If you’ve been to Housewife Hustle before, you are probably aware of a few facts about me like that I have struggled with an eating disorder in the past, and I’m on a self-love journey with my body. I’ve also talked about how I don’t like to label foods as “good” or “bad,” because I quickly stress and cause myself food guilt, which sends me down that disorder eating and disorder habits path that I’ve tried so hard to overcome. However, I am completely aware that some foods are more packed with vitamins and are healthier. I am just a big supporter of not restricting diets, because it has never ended well for me. I do like variety though.

I also like to keep a variety of foods in my house for multiple reasons, because I am not the only one who lives here. I want my house to have food options for everyone’s tastes and preferences, so I try to have a little bit of everything. I also want my kids to feel comfortable grabbing a snack, and I don’t ever want them to feel ashamed of a food they like. I’m also a very busy mom, and honestly, I don’t sit down for a meal as often as I should. I’m always on the go and grazing when I can. I also like to have easy grab-and-go foods to pack in my husband’s lunch for work.

Cheese Puffs? Yes, Please!

When I heard about Chef Robert Irvine’s FITCRUNCH High Protein Puffs, I was pretty intrigued. First, who doesn’t love cheese, let alone cheese puffs? Plus, crunch is right there in the name, so sign me up. We are a cheese loving family, and puffs are usually pretty yummy.

I will say that I get hesitant, because my son doesn’t do well with certain food dyes, and my husband is finding out that as his body gets older, he is also getting more sensitive to certain things. So, this momma is on high alert before putting anything and everything out, because we also only have one bathroom but more than one sensitive belly.

I don’t know about you, but I adore Chef Robert Irvine, and The Food Network is my happy place, so I was thrilled when I saw that he made a cheese puff. I knew it had to be both healthy and tasty, because he’s Robert freaking Irvine. FITCRUNCH High Protein Cheddar Cheese Puffs are a great snack option for the family, especially busy families that need some energy.

These mega crunchy little morsels pack a protein punch with 20 grams of high-quality milk protein. They are made with wholesome ingredients, there’s no artificial colors or fillers. I mean the “no” list, as I like to call it, is pretty extensive in this little puff.

  • Non-GMO
  • Soy Free
  • Gluten Free
  • No Sugar Alcohols
  • No Trans Fats
  • No Artificial Flavors
  • No Artificial Colors
  • No Artificial Sweeteners

I mean, I’m not one to restrict foods that I love, but sometimes, additives can make sensitive bellies unhappy, so there’s no complaining from me out of this healthy cheese puff when it comes to ingredients.

Bad or Rad

I had the pleasure of sharing these with some family and friends. The reviews were a bit mixed, but for the most part, everyone thought they were pretty good. There is no lacking in the crunch of the FITCRUNCH. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a crunchy little snack. The cheese flavor is very bold, like all caps BOLD.

The critiques started with protein. I had a few mom’s who were a little concerned about handing out such a high protein snack to younger kids. I also heard that these aren’t an easy to eat snack without wet wipes close by. For our family, we are messy eaters, so I didn’t take notice to the mess as much.

I do believe that these are a great snack option for older kids who play sports and who are very active. My husband is a very active guy who never sits down, and I’m always yelling at him to keep his weight bench tidy. These were wonderful for him, and he adored the bold cheesy taste, big crunch, and high protein aspect.

Won’t Know Until You Try

I definitely recommend giving these puffs a try. I’ve heard a ton of responses, but if you’re looking for a healthier snack option and ingredients matter to you, then this could be your go-to snack. I’m personally a baked white cheddar cheese puff kind of lady, but even these had me crunching and munching with a smile.
